The Nokia C7 has been leaked several times already that it’s safe to assume it will be announced at Nokia World in a few weeks. According to Zol who already have their hands on the C7, it is equipped with the new Symbian^3 OS and 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen like the Nokia N8, but with 8MP camera and dual-LED flash. They took a bunch of photos for you to check out.
The Nokia C7 looks thin and the materials remind me of Eseries phones like the Nokia E72 and E73. We still don’t have information on pricing and availability. More photos are available at Zol.

Luxury iPhones in African Blackwood/Gold from Gresso
Luxury phone maker Gresso introduced their own versions of customized Apple iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. In the design they used 200 year old African Blackwood for a case, and 18 karat gold for an Apple logo soon.
The cases of the models are made of African ebony (African Blackwood), which has become the ”business card” of Gresso mobile phones. This is a rare material, which has a high strength and durability. Note, that there is no two identical models of the iPhone from Gresso, cause there is no two identical trees in the world. The ”branded apple” on the back panel is decorated with 18K gold .
Gresso offers models both for men and women. Female African Blackwood iPhone 4 and 3GS will come with “dainty engraving and Swarovski crystals incrustation”, and cost $3500, while male versions will be more strict and cheaper by $500.
Gresso iPhone 3GS will start shipping in July, and they plan to have iPhone 4 ready for market in December.
Apple iPhone 4 and 3GS can be preordered in the salons of official Gresso dealers or the company’s website – www.gresso.com.

Dell Thunder Phone Appears in Leaked Video
Looking not dissimilar to the leaked photos from April, the Dell Thunder has appeared in a video sent in to Engadget. Previous leaks suggested a 4.1" OLED screen and will run Android 2.1, which still seems the case here.
Added to the rumor-mill is the presence of an 8MP camera (complete with LED flash and 720p recording functionality), and 800 x 480 pixels for that 4.1" screen. The phone's screen may be smaller than some others out there, but it looks like a hefty bezel bulks it up some. Lastly, it's also said to contain a 1,400mAh battery, which can also be removed.
If the man behind the video can be believed, it'll launch in the fourth quarter. Head on over to Engadget to check out the video. [Engadget]

Nokia N8
The Nokia N8 comes with a capacitive screen (the nHD resolution) to go with the more touch-friendly Symbian^3. The screen has 24 bits per pixel so that would make it capable of displaying 16 million colors.
The new Nokia N8 handset is thought to have a 3.5-inch touchscreen and will come with a 12-megapixel camera equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash, GPRS, EDGE, 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The device is also thought to offer users the ability to play back HD video on their television via a HDMI connection and also features an external SIM card slot that provides additional storage capacity for the 32GB of onboard memory. It is also thought to be powered by a 1GHz snapdragon processor.
The 28mm wide angle camera on the Nokia N8 is equipped with Carl Zeiss optics and a xenon flash. Nokia says that the image sensor "rivals those found in compact digital cameras". The camera can also capture 720p HD video at 25 frames per second and offers built-in video editing tools.
The Nokia N8 also features two different TV-out interfaces - the standard 3.5mm audio jack and a mini-HDMI port (a first for the GSM world). The Nokia N8 also features Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound over the HDMI link.
The Nokia N8 offers up to 3 hours and 20 minutes of video capture or 7 hours of video playback (6 over HDMI) thanks to the 1200mAh battery. The talk time is impressive too - 12 hours, and the battery will last for 50 hours of music playback.
There's plenty of storage to store the videos - the Nokia N8 has 16GB of built-in memory and supports microSD cards up to 32GB. As for viewing things on the phones itself, the N8 comes with a 3.5" capacitive touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio with nHD resolution (360 x 640 pixels).

India's $35 laptop
A low-cost laptop was launched by India’s human resource ministry in New Delhi, India on Thursday.
NEW DELHI—First the Nano, now the “Nano” computer.
Tata won praise world-wide for developing the world’s cheapest car, an innovation designed to put millions of Indians behind the wheel. The Indian government Thursday unveiled a computer it hopes will put millions of Indians in front of a keyboard.
As the iPad spreads globally, along with its hefty pricetag, this new computer, aimed at students, costs the same as the country’s cheapest cell phones.
“This is real, tangible and we will take it forward,” Kapil Sibal, minister for human resource development, said at a press conference in New Delhi. The touchscreen tablet will cost about $35, or 1,500 rupees, when it hits markets by early 2011.
The device was developed by students and professors at India’s premier technological institutes, using open-source programming, according to the Associated Press. The Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, Mumbai, Chennai and Kharagpur and the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore researched it in collaboration with the government-operated National Mission on Education.
The National Mission on Education is working to spread connectivity to India’s universities and colleges.
“We have made the breakthrough and are now ready to capture the market,” Mamta Varma, spokeswoman for the human-resource-development ministry, said Friday.
Ms. Varma said the government plans to roll out one million such computers for university students during the first phase, and expand later to primary and secondary schools.
Last month, Uruguay awarded the nonprofit One Laptop per Child a contract to provide 90,000 of its XO laptops for high-school students in the country. The group hopes in the future to price its durable device around $100; right now it sells for more than that.
India’s new device is an improvement over another hardy computer for the masses launched at Tirupathi in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh last year that had been criticized for its cost, among other things.
Ms. Varma said the ministry has also made open invitation to national and global manufacturers to improve upon the prototype unveiled Thursday. “If more innovations will emerge, the cost of the gadget might be further reduced to $20 or $10,” she said.
The yet-to-be-named device, which has the look of an iPad, has the option of charging by a sleek solar panel. It will have features including an Internet browser, a multimedia player, searchable PDF reader, video conferencing ability and wi-fi connectivity. It is supported by a two-watt backup source for places where power supply may be poor. It also comes with a small, 2-gigabyte memory but no hard disk.
